When I was small I was a prolific reader. I read anything I could. I plundered through my grandmother's books since she was a librarian. I found one book just appalling and mesmerizing in equal measure. This blog section will contain life lessons and tips I learned from Amy Vanderbilt's book of Etiquette. 

I was a rebellious child so it's interesting that I was drawn to this guide for the bride. I married at 18 and I wish I could say my hubby married a Betty Crockpot, but nope. I can't cook a roast but he sure can. 

I think I also really love the idea that Andy Warhol was the illustrator. Some of these rules get my goat.

I'll keep them in order as Amy set them out. She worked on this book for 5 years and claimed she still wasn't an expert.
